Pre-Season Tune-Ups reduce the number of emergency calls by revealing potential problems with your air conditioning or heating system that can be corrected inexpensively before causing major repair bills. Another option for you is Planned Service. Planned Service is a preventive maintenance program designed to keep your system working as efficiently as possible and you comfortable throughout the year while keeping your utility bills in line. Costs are determined by the type of equipment you have in your home or business.
Pre-Season Tune-Up includes the following Multi-Point Checklist:

- Check supply and return temperature
- Return air wet bulb
- Check ambient temperature
- Check suction line temperature
- Check liquid line temperature
- Approach method

- Check for proper air flow
- Check electrical connections
- Inspect blower compartment
- Check blower motor, wheel and belt
- Clean out blow-out drain
- Lubricate motor
- Check thermostat

Cooling System:
- Check thermostat calibration
- Monitor refrigerant pressure
- Test AC starting capabilities
- Test AC safety controls
- Clean and/or replace 1” air filters
- In place, clean and adjust blower components
- Measure for correct air flow
- Tighten electrical connections
- Measure volts and amps
- Lubricate all moving parts
- Flush condensate drain

- Monitor cooling cycle
- Inspect evaporator coil
- Measure temperature difference between supply air and return air
- Examine installation quality
- Examine equipment condition area, and clearances
- Clean condenser coil
- Test service valves
- Inspect disconnect box
- Test contactor and capacitor
- Inspect compressor terminals
- Test cycle for proper operation
- Clean condensate pump

- Clean & adjust furnace burner assembly
- Clean furnace ignition assembly
- Check combustion air
- Test furnace starting capabilities
- Examine heat exchanger for damage and corrosion
- Monitor flue draft
- Test furnace safety controls
- Inspect gas piping for leaks
- Clean and/or replace 1” air filters
- Measure for correct air flow
- Tighten electrical connections
- Measure volts and amps
- Lubricate all moving furnace parts
- Flush condensate drains
- Measure temperature difference between supply air and return air
- Measure & adjust gas pressure

- Adjust pilot
- Monitor heating cycle
- Test air flow for deadly carbon monoxide
- In place, clean and adjust blower components
- Examine equipment condition area and clearances
- Clean condensate pump
Heat Pump Only:
- Test back-up heat elements
- Test reversing valve operation
- Test defrost control
Oil Only:
- Change oil filter
- Replace oil nozzle
- Inspect oil tank for wear
- Change pump screen
- Inspect chimney base
